The Central Academy Cougars basketball squad (Monroe, NC), was crushed 74-37 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC)

With the victory, Forest Hills advances its record to 11-10 on the year. The Yellow Jackets host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a non-league battle on Monday, February 10. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 12-8. Cuthbertson lost 73-50 in their recent league battle against Weddington (Matthews, NC)

The Cougars now own a 1-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe for a 2A/3A Rocky River battle on Tuesday, February 11. Central Academy will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 60-49 league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 10-2.
