In Friday's league contest, the host Polk County Wolverines basketball team scored a good 65-51 triumph over the Chase Trojans.

The Wolverines (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers go into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 contest with a 6-17 record. In their last contest, East Rutherford topped R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC), 69-67, in a league contest.
