North Carolina High School Basketball - Hobbton knocked off by Lakewood

February 7, 2025: Newton Grove, NC 28366

In Friday's league test, the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), by a score of 72-52.

Next, the Leopards encounter the Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC) in a 1A Carolina test, on Tuesday, February 11. Lakewood will attempt to improve on its 17-1 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 11-11 record after their 55-44 league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC).

The Wildcats (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Spartans come into the 1A Carolina test with a 3-15 record. In their last test, Union went down by North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 71-42, in a league test.
