In Friday's league contest, the host Martin County Gators basketball team scored a big 60-36 triumph over the North East Carolina Prep Husky.

The Gators (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers go into the 1A/2A Four Rivers contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Washington County smashed Gates County (Gatesville, NC), 81-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Husky confront the Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) in a 1A/2A Four Rivers contest, on Tuesday, February 11.
