The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), observed Monroe's basketball team knock off Parkwood by a score of 60-49.

The Redhawks (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars come into the 2A/3A Rocky River challenge with a 1-20 record. In their last challenge, Central Academy dropped by Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 74-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolf Pack encounter the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Parkwood will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-13 record after their 69-67 league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
