The Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), 70-34 in Friday's league bout.

The Mavericks now possess a 19-3 record. They play next when they travel to West Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Tuesday, February 11. Mallard Creek will play a Hawks team coming off a 65-51 league loss to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-16.

With the loss, Hough falls to 16-6 on the campaign. The Huskies host Harding University (Charlotte, NC) to play the Rams in a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Tuesday, February 11.
