In Saturday's league contest, the visiting George Ranch Longhorns basketball team scored a big 72-50 win over the Alief Taylor Lions.

The Longhorns (20-12) will now prepare for their contest against Alief Hastings (Houston, TX). The Bears come into the 6A Region III District 20 contest with a 3-20 record. In their last contest, Alief Hastings was trounced by Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX), 63-27, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 20 contest, on Wednesday, February 12. Alief Taylor will attempt to better on its 10-20 season record. The Rams come into the contest with a 14-18 record after their 47-41 league win over Fulshear (Fulshear, TX).
