Virginia High School Basketball - Heritage knocks off Indian River
February 8, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23325 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) and the host Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), observed Heritage's basketball team overcome Indian River by a margin of 79-62.
The Hurricanes (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Bethel (Hampton, VA). The Bruins come into the Peninsula challenge with a 8-9 record.
In their next game, the Braves battle the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Indian River will attempt to better on its 13-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 18-1 record after their 68-59 league win over King's Fork (Suffolk, VA).
