February 8, 2025: Virginia Beach, VA 23454 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ocean Lakes Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA) and the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), observed Ocean Lakes's basketball team overwhelm Hickory by a score of 65-44.
The Dolphins (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA). The Chiefs come into the Beach challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Kempsville was routed by Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA), 53-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks battle the Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Monday, February 10. Hickory will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 51-20 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
