Indiana High School Basketball - Lake Station Edison nips Morgan Township

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles basketball team scored a close 50-49 win over the Morgan Township Cherokees.

The Fighting Eagles (5-18) will now prepare for their contest against Hebron (Hebron, IN). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Hebron was tipped by Portage (Portage, IN), 81-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cherokees battle the Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks (Hammond, IN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 4. Morgan Township will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Hawks come into the contest with a 8-16 record after their 67-47 non-league loss to Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN).
