The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) and the visiting Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL), saw Vanguard's baseball team get by Matanzas by a tally of 8-7.

The Knights (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Gainesville (Gainesville, FL). The Hurricanes enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Gainesville was tipped by Bradford (Starke, FL), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
