The Cherokee Trail Cougars baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Saguaro Sabercats to 0 in the Cougars non-league win on Tuesday.

The Cougars now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sunnyslope for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. Cherokee Trail will play a Vikings team coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Castle View (Castle Rock, CO). The Vikings record now stands at 4-8.

With the defeat, Saguaro drops to 5-5 on the year. The Sabercats travel to Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ) to play the Mustangs in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 8-4. Sunrise Mountain won 17-13 in their recent non-league test against Lutheran (Parker, CO)
