Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) followers left the game satisfied Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), 17-0 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Chaparral moves its record to 6-5 on the season. The Firebirds host Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ) to confront the Saints in a 5A East Sky match on Thursday, March 20. The Saints come into the match with a record of 2-7. Notre Dame Prep lost 6-4 in their recent non-league match against Rock Canyon (Highlands Ranch, CO)

The Scorpions now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Canyon for a 5A Desert West match on Thursday, March 20. Desert Edge will confront a Rattlers squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Canyon View (Waddell, AZ). The Rattlers record now stands at 5-4.
