In Thursday's non-league match, the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) lacrosse team overwhelmed the visiting Nation Ford Falcons (Fort Mill, SC), by a count of 11-6.

Next up, the Sabres confront the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern/So Meck match, on Monday, March 24. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 0-7 record after their 16-2 non-league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC).

The Falcons (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Clover (Clover, SC). The Blue Eagles enter the 5A Upper District 3 match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Clover was overwhelmed by Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 21-14, in a non-league match.
