South Carolina High School Soccer - Sumter knocks off Lower Richland
March 20, 2025: Hopkins, SC 29061 In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Sumter Gamecocks soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets.
The Gamecocks (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against Crestwood (Sumter, SC). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Crestwood by Hartsville (Hartsville, SC), 6-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Diamond Hornets play the Wilson Tigers (Florence, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 outing, on Friday, March 21. Lower Richland will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers go into the outing with a 3-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Crestwood (Sumter, SC).
