East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) followers left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), 10-9 in a league match.

With the triumph, East Mecklenburg moves its record to 8-4 on the season. The Eagles host Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC) to battle the Spartans in a non-league match on Monday, March 24. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 6-1. Community School of Davidson won 8-7 in their recent league match against Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC)

The Bulldogs now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rocky River for a Southwestern 4A match on Tuesday, March 25. Butler will battle a Ravens squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Ravens record now stands at 0-5.
