South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 2-1 in a league match.

With the triumph, South Mecklenburg advances its record to 9-4 on the season. The Sabres travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to battle the Spartans in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 25. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 6-3.

The Pumas now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olympic for a So Meck 4A match on Tuesday, March 25. Palisades will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 0-5.
