The Rio Mesa Spartans triumphed over the visiting Pacifica Tritons softball squad by a count of 13-2 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Spartans play the Oak Park Eagles (Oak Park, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 22. Rio Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 9-2 league loss to Royal (Simi Valley, CA).

The Tritons (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hueneme (Oxnard, CA). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Hueneme was routed by Foothill Tech (Ventura, CA), 12-2, in a non-league challenge.
