East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Brown for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. East Rutherford will face a Broncos squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Clinton-Massie (Clarksville, OH). The Broncos record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Polk County falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Landrum (Landrum, SC) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league game on Thursday, March 28.
