In Tuesday's non-league bout, the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA), by a tally of 15-8.

Next up, the Pioneers encounter the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a Mountain Empire bout, on Friday, March 28. Fort Chiswell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA).

The Indians (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Spartans enter the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
