The Sun Valley Spartans baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres to 7 in the Spartans non-league win on Tuesday.

The Spartans now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a non-league test on Friday, March 28. Sun Valley will play a Sabres team coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC). The Sabres record now stands at 9-6.

With the defeat, South Mecklenburg drops to 9-6 on the year. The Sabres host Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC) to play the Copperheads in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 26.
