In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Catawba Ridge Copperheads baseball team scored a nice 11-3 win over the South Mecklenburg Sabres.

The Copperheads (7-4) will now prepare for their game against Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Warriors go into the 5A Region 3 game with a 10-1 record. In their last game, Indian Land knocked off Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC), 7-0, in a league game.

Next, the Sabres play the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 28. South Mecklenburg will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Spartans go into the game with a 8-3 record after their 10-7 non-league win over South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
