Westminster Academy Lions (Fort Lauderdale, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cardinal Newman Crusaders (West Palm Beach, FL), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Calvary Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. Westminster Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Florida Christian (Miami, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-8.

With the loss, Cardinal Newman falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to King's Academy (West Palm Beach, FL) to face the Lions in a 3A District 13 challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. King's Academy won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Forest Hill (West Palm Beach, FL)
