In Thursday's non-league bout, the Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), by a tally of 13-5.

Next up, the Tide encounter the St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, March 28. Sherman will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Irish enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 11-6 league win over Van (Van, WV).
