The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) and the visiting R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC), saw North Mecklenburg's baseball team gain a win over R.J. Reynolds by a tally of 6-2.

The Vikings (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks enter the Queen City 3A/4A battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Mallard Creek was overwhelmed by East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Demons face the Glenn Bobcats (Kernersville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 28. R.J. Reynolds will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 5-6 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to East Davidson (Thomasville, NC).
