The Shelby Golden Lions baseball squad (Shelby, NC), was overwhelmed 20-2 in Friday's league contest with the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC)

With the triumph, East Gaston moves its record to 8-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Burns (Lawndale, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, April 1. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 13-2. Burns won 21-0 in their recent league contest against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)

The Golden Lions now possess a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, April 1. Shelby will confront a Gryphons squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 1-8.
