In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates baseball team scored a close 15-9 win over the East Mecklenburg Eagles.

The Pirates (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record.

Next, the Eagles play the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a Southwestern 4A game, on Tuesday, March 4. East Mecklenburg will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
