The Bishop Badgers baseball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Veterans Memorial Chargers to 1 in the Badgers non-league win on Saturday.

The Badgers now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Gertrudis Academy for a 3A Region IV District 30 test on Friday, March 21.

With the defeat, Veterans Memorial drops to 7-7 on the year. The Chargers host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX) to clash with the Bears in a non-league test on Monday, March 10.
