The Springfield Township Spartans baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Lower Moreland Lions to 4 in the Spartans league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheltenham for a Suburban One - Freedom test on Monday, April 14. Springfield Township will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 14-3 league loss to Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-7.

With the defeat, Lower Moreland drops to 3-8 on the year. The Lions travel to Cheltenham (Wyncote, PA) to clash with the Panthers in a Suburban One - Freedom test on Monday, May 5. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 2-7.
