Virginia High School Soccer - Oakton knocks off Mount Vernon
April 10, 2025: Alexandria, VA 22309 The Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA) soccer overwhelmed the host Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA), 7-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Cougars now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Centreville for a Concorde challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Oakton will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Mount Vernon moves to 2-5 on the year. The Majors travel to Lewis (Springfield, VA) to encounter the Lancers in a National challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Lancers go into the challenge with a record of 4-2.
