The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) and the host Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL), saw Bishop McNamara's baseball team beat Pleasant Plains by a margin of 5-1.

The Fightin' Irish (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, IL). The Hurricanes enter the Chicagoland Christian battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Marian Central Catholic was overwhelmed by Marengo (Marengo, IL), 10-2, in a non-league battle.
