The Southern Rams baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Tucker County Mountain Lions to 1 in the Rams non-league win on Wednesday.

The Rams now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northern Garrett for a Western Maryland test on Thursday, April 17. Southern will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 12-2 league win over Mountain Ridge (Frostburg, MD). The Huskies record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Tucker County drops to 0-5 on the year. The Mountain lions host Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Mason-Dixon test on Thursday, April 17. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 6-5. Tygarts Valley lost 12-8 in their recent non-league test against Doddridge County (West Union, WV)
