In Wednesday's league match, the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) lacrosse team overwhelmed the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), by a count of 19-2.

Next up, the Warriors confront the West Forsyth Wolverines (Cumming, GA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 17. Weddington will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Wolverines enter the match with a 12-2 record after their 16-6 non-league win over Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC).

The Pirates (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers enter the Southern Carolina/Rocky River match with a 9-6 record. In their last match, Cuthbertson defeated West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC), 19-6, in a non-league match.
