New York High School Softball - Midlakes succumbs to Gilbert
April 16, 2025: Clifton Springs, NY 14432 In Wednesday's non-league test, the Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC) softball squad overwhelmed the host Midlakes Screaming Eagles (Clifton Springs, NY), by a tally of 15-1.
Next, the Indians clash with the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles (West Columbia, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 test, on Monday, April 21. Gilbert will attempt to advance on its 17-2 season record. The War Eagles go into the test with a 21-1 record after their 10-0 league win over Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC).
The Screaming Eagles (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Mynderse Academy (Seneca Falls, NY). The Blue Devils go into the Finger Lakes East test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Mynderse Academy was routed by Union Springs (Union Springs, NY), 10-2, in a non-league test.
