Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN), 5-4 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Connersville advances its record to 5-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN) to battle the Dragons in a non-league match on Saturday, April 19. The Dragons come into the match with a record of 5-2. Silver Creek won 13-1 in their recent league match against Austin (Austin, IN)

The Bears now have a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ben Davis for a Metropolitan match on Tuesday, April 22. Lawrence Central will battle a Giants squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Lebanon (Lebanon, IN). The Giants record now stands at 2-3.
