The Desert Vista Thunder baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Valley Vista Monsoon to 1 in the Thunder non-league win on Friday.

The Thunder now hold a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Corona del Sol for a test on Tuesday, April 22. Desert Vista will play a Aztecs team coming off a 5-2 league loss to Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Aztecs record now stands at 5-9.

With the defeat, Valley Vista drops to 7-7 on the year. The Monsoon travel to Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ) to play the Stallions in a test on Tuesday, April 22. The Stallions go into the test with a record of 13-2. Shadow Ridge won 10-0 in their recent league test against Apollo (Glendale, AZ)
