The Parkland Matadors triumphed over the visiting Bel Air Highlanders softball squad by a count of 16-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Matadors play the Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, April 4. Parkland will attempt to upgrade on its 15-12 season record. The Scorpions enter the challenge with a 6-16 record after their 14-11 league loss to Bel Air (El Paso, TX).

The Highlanders (5-21) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanks (El Paso, TX). The Knights enter the 5A Region I District 2 bout with a 13-10 record. In their last bout, Hanks was routed by Americas (El Paso, TX), 16-4, in a league bout.
