April 2, 2025: Lafayette, LA 70507 The Northwest Raiders edged the host Carencro Bears softball squad by a count of 19-18 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Raiders play the Mamou Demons (Mamou, LA) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Thursday, April 3. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Demons enter the challenge with a 9-12 record after their 14-3 league win over Ville Platte (Ville Platte, LA).
The Bears (1-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Crowley (Crowley, LA). The Gent enter the non-league challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Crowley was nudged by Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA), 6-0, in a non-league challenge.
