Rhode Island High School Lacrosse - Smithfield overwhelms Providence Country Day
April 21, 2023: Esmond, RI 02917 The Smithfield Sentinels lacrosse team scored 14 points and held the visiting Providence Country Day Knights to 9 in the Sentinels non-league win on Friday.
The Sentinels (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Bulldogs go into the Division 3 match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Westerly nudged Toll Gate (Warwick, RI), 13-4, in a league match.
The Knights (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Chieftains go into the non-league match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Ponaganset was overwhelmed by Burrillville (Harrisville, RI), 9-3, in a league match.
