In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) baseball squad edged the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), by a final score of 13-12.

With the win, Calhoun upgrades its record to 6-17 on the season. The Warriors host North Greene (White Hall, IL) to battle the Spartans in a Western Illinois Valley - South challenge on Monday, April 24. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. North Greene won 13-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL)

With the defeat, Metro-East Lutheran falls to 5-10 on the season. The Knights host Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL) to battle the Aces in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25.
