In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Salpointe Catholic Lancers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks.

The Lancers (23-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ). The Thunderbolts come into the 4A Kino challenge with a 23-8 record. In their last challenge, Mica Mountain beat Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Nighthawks meet the Flowing Wells Caballeros (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 23. Ironwood Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Caballeros come into the challenge with a 15-14 record after their 3-0 league win over Pueblo (Tucson, AZ).
