The Lafayette Generals softball squad (Lexington, KY), was edged 9-8 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the visiting Madison Central Indians (Richmond, KY)

With the triumph, Madison Central improves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Indians host Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY) to face the Broncos in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 24. The Broncos enter the contest with a record of 14-5. Frederick Douglass won 9-4 in their recent non-league contest against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY)

The Generals now hold a 14-6 record. They play next when they travel to Great Crossing for a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 23. Lafayette will face a squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY). The record now stands at 5-6.
