In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains baseball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the Danbury Lakers.

The Chieftains (11-2) will now prepare for their game against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH). The Golden Bears go into the Sandusky Bay - River game with a 8-4 record. In their last game, Gibsonburg was overwhelmed by Calvert (Tiffin, OH), 13-3, in a league game.

Next, the Lakers play the Lakota Raiders (Kansas, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River game, on Thursday, April 24. Danbury will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Raiders go into the game with a 4-5 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Van Buren (Van Buren, OH).
