The Merino Rams (Merino, CO) baseball trounced the host Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO), 17-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Rams now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Limon for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 26. Merino will clash with a Badgers team coming off a 11-4 non-league loss to Akron (Akron, CO). The Badgers record now stands at 10-4.

With the defeat, Sedgwick County drops to 6-10 on the year. The Cougars travel to Caliche (Iliff, CO) to clash with the Buffaloes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Buffaloes go into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Caliche won 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Wray (Wray, CO)
