McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Kennedy Cougars (Sacramento, CA), 11-0 in a league match.

With the triumph, McClatchy advances its record to 20-5 on the season. The Lions host Elk Grove (Elk Grove, CA) to battle the Thundering Herd in a non-league match on Saturday, April 26. The Thundering Herd come into the match with a record of 14-9. Elk Grove won 12-1 in their recent league match against Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA)

The Cougars now have a 3-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Campus for a non-league match on Saturday, April 26. Kennedy will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Armijo (Fairfield, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-10.
