Illinois High School Soccer - Providence Catholic knocks off Rochester
April 25, 2025: New Lenox, IL 60451 The Providence Catholic Celtics soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Rochester Rockets to 0 in the Celtics non-league victory on Friday.
The Celtics now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 26. Providence Catholic will play a Cyclones squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Rochester moves to 10-6 on the year. The Rockets travel to Columbia (Columbia, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, April 26. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Columbia won 8-1 in their recent non-league bout against Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL)
