In Friday's league test, the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting New Lexington Panthers (New Lexington, OH), by a tally of 11-4.

Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Fairfield Union Falcons (Lancaster, OH) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 26. Athens will attempt to advance on its 12-4 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 4-11 record after their 20-8 league loss to Amanda-Clearcreek (Amanda, OH).

The Panthers (8-11) will now prepare for their test against West Muskingum (Zanesville, OH). The Tornadoes go into the Muskingum Valley test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, West Muskingum held off Tri-Valley (Dresden, OH), 7-6, in a league test.
