In Saturday's non-league game, the host Decatur Central Hawks baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the Avon Orioles.

The Hawks (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Plainfield (Plainfield, IN). The Quakers go into the Mid-State game with a 8-5 record. In their last game, Plainfield nudged Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN), 8-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Orioles play the Brownsburg Bulldogs (Brownsburg, IN) in a Hoosier Crossroads game, on Wednesday, April 30. Avon will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 7-3 record after their 5-0 league loss to Zionsville (Zionsville, IN).
