The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) and the visiting Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL), saw Metro-East Lutheran's baseball team beat Marquette Catholic by a margin of 13-5.

The Knights (12-7) will now prepare for their battle against Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Piasa Birds enter the non-league battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Southwestern was overwhelmed by New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL), 7-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Explorers face the Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 30. Marquette Catholic will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Shells enter the battle with a 15-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Salem (Salem, IL).
