April 29, 2025: Botkins, OH 45306 Botkins Trojans (Botkins, OH) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Spencerville Bearcats (Spencerville, OH), 10-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Botkins improves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Trojans host Fairlawn (Sidney, OH) to play the Jets in a Shelby County game on Thursday, May 1. The Jets enter the game with a record of 3-12. Fairlawn lost 8-1 in their recent league game against Houston (Houston, OH)
The Bearcats now hold a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Cory-Rawson for a non-league game on Friday, May 2. Spencerville will play a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 20-6 league loss to Ridgemont (Mount Victory, OH). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 4-12.
